Michael E. Prater, MD
Dr. Michael E. Prater graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Organic Chemistry, before attaining a Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry from CSU-Hayward, where he graduated first in his class. He then graduated Valedictorian in medical school at the University of Colorado. While at the University of Colorado, Dr. Prater was also inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national academic honor society given only to the top students. He further received the Medicine Student of the Year for the University two years in a row. After medical school. Dr. Prater trained at the University of Texas Medical Branch under internationally renowned head and neck surgeon Dr. Byron J. Bailey, where Dr. Prater spent the second of two Chief Residency Years specializing in head and neck cancer. Dr. Prater moved to Lake Havasu City in 2000 and has been in private practice serving the tri-state area.
Adrienne A. Prater, BSN
Adrienne is highly experienced in the medical field. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hardin-Simmons University with a BS in Nursing, all while playing collegiate basketball. She then worked for five years in the operating room at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She attained a RN First Assist certification. She has served the medical needs of Lake Havasu City since 2000, including as an allergist, as well as in the administrative aspects of a medical practice.
Ierestic Navarrete
Ierestic has over 18 years of experience working in the medical field as a medical assistant. She is Dr. Prater’s cancer coordinator and right hand. Ierestic grew up in Southern California and moved to Lake Havasu City in 2005. During her free time she loves to take trips with her husband and two boys.
Sierra Smiley
Sierra grew up in Corona, California. She graduated UC Berkeley (Go Bears!!) with a Bachelor’s in Marine Science, all while playing collegiate water polo. After graduation, she played water polo professionally for Natacio Terrassa in Europe for two years. Sierra moved to Lake Havasu City in 2019. She continues to participate in water polo tournaments with her masters team in Chicago. She enjoys scuba diving, swimming, and running. She is the medical director of the Allergy and Sleep department.
Edith Rodriguez
Edith has 14 years of experience in the medical field. She is our front office manager and her responsibilities include coordinating patient surgeries, authorizations and billing questions, and any doctor clearances necessary. She is from California and moved to Lake Havasu City in 2006. Edith enjoys spending her free time outdoors, especially when she goes on the lake with her husband and daughter.
